Ciano works with professionals at all stages of their careers, specializing in helping  professionals who seek education, advice, and collaboration to build strong financial futures. He helps them explore all areas of their financial lives and develops custom plans of action to achieve theirs short-and long-term goals. 

He joined the CURO practice in 2012 as a paraplanner, accomplishing all manner of responsibilities, including data gathering/analysis and running plan illustrations, options, costs, and benefits. In 2014 he transitioned to the role of financial advisor and has been in that position since. 

In addition to earning a B.A in Finance and Business Administration from the University of San Diego, Ciano has spent hundreds of hours studying for and attaining his CFP, CLU, and ChFC designations.

He shares his knowledge also by holding financial-education workshops throughout Southern California, focusing on investing, retirement planning,  debt management and protection for working professionals.

Jim has been in the financial services industry since 1988 and has developed his practice to provide written, objective, comprehensive financial plans through a collaborative effort between client and advisors enabling the customer to proactively create their financial lives with the highest probability of success. Jim's education allows him to specialize in financial planning for retirees and focus on Social Security, Medicare, pension income, and distributions from retirement accounts and non-retirement accounts. 

In addition to his education, Jim's financial planning experience is extraordinary- in terms of number of financial plans he creates each year, Jim is one of the top financial planners in the firm. 

But what really sets Jim apart is his passion. Jim's dad, a life-long firefighter, and his mom, taught him through their volunteerism in religion, Boy Scouts, and sports, that service and caring for others pays untold rewards.  

The greatest professional satisfaction Jim feels is not in the getting, but in the giving and helping- and in the relationships he forms with clients. This is what drives him to continually improve his practice and be the best he can be, every day, for every client.

Luciana Macedo holds the following designations:

Luciana holds a Master of Science in Business Administration, concentration in Financial and Tax Planning, from San Diego State University and a B.A. in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She also has an extensive background in management and customer service, which significantly contributes to her work at CURO. In addition to speaking English, Luciana speaks Portuguese and Spanish, which enhances her ability to work with clients from multiple cultural backgrounds.

Luciana has been working in financial services since 2015 and serving as CURO’s Director of Financial Planning since 2018. She is passionate about working with clients at all stages of their careers, helping them put together the puzzle pieces of their financial lives. Coaching and accountability are fundamental to building a successful financial plan, so Luciana focuses on creating plans of action and following through on their implementation.

Understanding that life is dynamic, Luciana believes in developing a financial planning process that provides flexibility and options to help her clients work toward their short- and long-term goals. Her greatest professional reward comes in seeing clients achieve their goals and continually create new ones.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, friends and her 3 dogs, Jack, Delilah and Zulma. She also likes to listen to music and go to live music events, read, go to the beach, exercise, hike, and travel.

Jen Quintana

Director of New Business & Customer Service

Jen is the New Business and Relationship Manager at CURO. She is responsible for processing and opening of new accounts, servicing accounts, and supporting the marketing aspects of CURO Financial.

Jen is an alumnus of San Jose State University and has been in the teaching field and hospitality field until joining the CURO Financial team in 2021. Jen was born in the small city of Visalia which is in the Central Valley of California. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, eating at new restaurants, and playing with her chihuahua, Foxxy. Jen is new to the financial world, but she takes great pride in learning about each detail of finance and supporting her team in any way possible. She is dedicated to providing accurate and timely service for each account and each client, all with carrying a positive and energetic approach.

Tyler graduated from UC San Diego in 2019, majoring in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution and minoring in Business. Tyler was born and raised in Encinitas, California. In his spare time, he enjoys learning to cook new dishes, sampling the history, culture, and food of foreign countries, and attending car events. He has a passion for financial advising and plans on becoming a financial advisor in the future. He is dedicated to investing his time and attention effectively so that you may invest your money effectively.

Danielle is the Marketing and Client Service Director at CURO. She is responsible for all scheduling needs, communications, and supporting the marketing aspects of CURO Financial.

Danielle is a recent graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Communications. Danielle is thrilled to hold her first corporate job with CURO Financial. You may be wondering about Danielle’s name; you are correct: she is Jim’s daughter! She was born and raised in Encinitas, California, and when she is not traveling, she enjoys spending time at home with her family.
