Jim has been in the financial services industry since 1988 and has developed his practice to provide written, objective, comprehensive financial plans through a collaborative effort between client and advisors enabling the customer to proactively create their financial lives with the highest probability of success. Jim's education allows him to specialize in financial planning for retirees and focus on Social Security, Medicare, pension income, and distributions from retirement accounts and non-retirement accounts.
In addition to his education, Jim's financial planning experience is extraordinary- in terms of number of financial plans he creates each year, Jim is one of the top financial planners in the firm.
But what really sets Jim apart is his passion. Jim's dad, a life-long firefighter, and his mom, taught him through their volunteerism in religion, Boy Scouts, and sports, that service and caring for others pays untold rewards.

Ciano works with professionals at all stages of their careers, specializing in helping early-to-middle career professional who seek education, advice, and collaboration to build strong financial futures. He helps them explore all areas of their financial lives and develops custom plans of action to achieve theirs short-and long-term goals.
He joined the CURO practice in 2012 as a paraplanner, accomplishing all manner of responsibilities, including data gathering/analysis and running plan illustrations, options, costs, and benefits. In 2014 he transitioned to the role of financial advisor.
In addition to earning a B.A in Finance and Business Administration from the University of San Diego, Ciano has spent hundreds of hours studying for and attaining his CFP, CLU, and ChFC designations. Ciano is one of only 6% of CERTFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS representatives under age 30 in the United States.*
Ciano knows who to guide people of his generation, who may not yet have significant asset/worth, through a financial-planning process that creates clarity and reduces worries. He brings to the practice knowledge and expertise around low-cost investing, proper insurance protection, student loans, and more.
He shares his knowledge also by holding financial-education workshops throughout Southern California, focusing on investing, debt management and protection for young professionals.

Luciana has been working with CURO Financial since October 2015 while pursuing her MSBA in Financial and Tax Planning at San Diego State University. She brings her passion for helping others, combined with her years of management, training, and customer service experience to the team. She handles various financial planning duties, organizing the data, completing plan data input, and managing client software relationships. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three adorable Boston Terriers; Jack, Lola, and Olive. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time at the beach.
Katie is the relationship manager for CURO Financial. She is in charge of working closely with Jim and Ciano on communicating with clients and handling the firms marketing efforts.
Katie is a graduating senior at University of California, San Diego., studying Communication and Political Science with the hopes of pursing a career in Law. Katie was born and raised in Ventura County, California with passions for music and her dog.
Olivia's primary role is to work with Jim and Ciano and assist in analyzing your needs, and researching and recommending suitable products aligned to those needs .
Olivia is a senior at the University of San Diego studying Finance and International Business. Originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, she loves the San Diego sunshine and living within close proximity to the beach. Olivia enjoys working in this position so she can apply her studies to real world financial situations by serving the clients of CURO. Outside the office, Olivia serves at the Chapter President of her sorority and serves as a volunteer tax associate for the International Rescue Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, yoga and traveling.
